Our Story

After living in Spain for over 25 years, we, Andy and Becky Thorpe, made the difficult decision to return to the UK during the COVID-19 pandemic to be closer to our family. During our time in Spain, we fell in love with the Spanish way of life—especially the food! Upon returning, we realized that something important was missing: the rich, high-quality olive oils and traditional tapas that had become such a cherished part of our lives.

To bring a piece of Spain back with us, we reached out to a family friend who has had an olive farm in their family for over 150 years. This connection led to the creation of the Andalucian Olive Company, allowing us to bring premium extra virgin olive oils to the UK market, directly from the heart of Spain.

But we didn’t stop there. In November 2023, we opened Dip Drizzle Drink, a traditional Spanish tapas bar. Our goal was simple: to showcase the best of Spanish tapas at affordable prices, allowing others to experience the same delights we enjoyed for so many years in Spain. Dip Drizzle Drink is more than just a place to eat—it’s a space to gather with friends and family, to slow down, enjoy delicious food, sip on Spanish wine or cocktails, and take in live music on Friday, Saturday evenings, and Sunday afternoons.

We believe dining should be an event, not a rushed experience. In Spain, meals are about more than just food—they’re about connection, relaxation, and savoring every moment. We wanted to bring that same spirit to our tapas bar, so whether you're here for a quick drink, a full meal, or just to enjoy the ambiance, we hope you’ll stay awhile and make it an evening to remember.
